This was our company's second year to participate in Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light the Night Walk. We are a national community partner for LLS, and our Giving Program was also a Silver Sponsor of the Austin chapter's walk this year. However our team is very passionate about this organization's cause, so we support them by getting involved on more than a sponsorship level. Last year our team raised over $2,800 for blood cancer research and patient services, and this year we set our sights even higher.
This was truly a team effort, along with the help of two awesome team captains we held several fundraising initiatives in the office. We had a bake sale, sold paper balloons, had a profit share at Bungalow on Rainey Street and had a lunch & learn to educate everyone on LLS's mission. With everyone's fundraising efforts and company matching program we raised over $5,000 for Light the Night! It was truly something to celebrate, which we did by bonding together on walk night with friends and family to honor this amazing cause.
